Mental Health: Let's Talk About It More

Hey everyone! Welcome back to another blog. Today I'm going to talk about a really important topic that needs way more awareness than it gets. I think we all are aware of who Simone Biles is. For those who don't know, she is one of the most successful gymnasts in the entire world. So during the recent Olympics, she had to opt-out of the Group Finals in her sport due to mental health problems. She was fearful that she'd cost her team a medal, and so she backed out like she should have because she wasn't in the right mind to perform, she just had too much pressure on her back. Honestly, she got more hate than she got support. Many people just said that she was a 'weak' person for backing out. The thing is, that mental health is as important as physical health. I know we say that this issue has been getting more and more attention, but hearing about this incident, I'm honestly back to square one with my perspective on things changing. I think the importance of

Respect's Supposed To Be Earned :)

Well, hello y'all!! I know, I know. It's been ages since I last posted, and to all those consistently reading my blogs, I'm sorry lol. I had kind of a writer's block and my exams and stuff were going on.  So I guess every one of us must have heard people say, "They are elder to you, respect them." And yes, this sentence makes somewhat of sense. I get what they mean. If someone's elder to us, we should talk to them politely and behave in a good manner. But respect. What does respect exactly mean!? So putting it into my own words, respect is a certain admiration towards someone. Makes sense. But wait! There's more to the definition! Here's the interesting part. Respect is the deep admiration that is given according to their abilities. By ability here, I don't just mean that I'm going to be only respecting Messi because he plays soccer exceptionally well, or just Virat Kohli because he plays cricket well. By abilities, I also want to emphasize

Is Overthinking Okay?

Alright!!! Here we are with a cool topic. Overthinking. So basically as you all might already be knowing, overthinking is an ART πŸ˜‚.  Okay on a serious note, overthinking is just excessive thinking. It's like, suppose something happened to you. Let's say, you fought with someone (maybe your closest friend or someone in your family) or maybe you got fewer marks on a test. Now, it's late-night, and you just lie there, in your bed, thinking. You reread your texts that were involved in the fight and figure out where you went wrong. You start rereading your answer sheet like a thousand times and figure out your mistakes. Your brain just thinks about a single scenario. I guess you all can agree, that we can call this pure overthinking. I'm pretty sure you all might have done some overthinking at some point in your life. And that's okay. I mean, you must have overthought at some point in time in your life. When you look over a problem and give a good thought to it, you can

Fake Friends?

Well, hello! I guess it's been a long time since I have written something. Today's topic is quite interesting. I find it interesting. I guess.  NOTE: THIS BLOG IS IN REGARDS TO NO ONE. JUST A FEW OF MY THOUGHTS I WANTED TO PUT OUT THERE. SO IF YOU KNOW ME AND YOU ARE READING THIS, SORRY BUT NO, THIS IS NOT IN RELATION TO YOU, OR ANYONE ELSE I KNOW. THANKS. So, I guess most of us would agree that we have a lot of friends at school. Or even at a workplace. I guess it happens with everyone, that if we talk to someone a bit, we say that we are friends with that person. But, that necessarily isn't always true. So, what exactly is friendship? Who is your best friend? Is it some random person that you talk to every day or is it not that person? Well, after a bunch of fake friends and some rough rides through the course of friendship, here's my perspective. Let's talk about person A. He/she is in your class or in your office. You guys see each other every day and have small

A Dream Come True ✨

Considering the fact that I have a blog page, and I post quite often, you would have probably realized by now how much I love writing. If you read my previous blog, you'd understand for sure. (If you haven't read it go and read and lemme know how it was!πŸ˜‚) So yeah coming back to my point. So, yeah I love writing. But this interest and this passion was kinda unknown. When I was in the US, in 4th and 5th grade, we used to get a lot of assignments upon writing stuff. Stories, essays, and stuff. That's when my homeroom teacher felt I was good at this. He even sent me to a Writer's Conference, where an ACTUAL AUTHOR came and talked to us. She was on the 'NEW YORK'S BESTSELLING AUTHOR'S LIST' that time. I'm not sure about that now though. I mean, I don't know. So, I started to write often. In my free time, I'd just take a pen and paper and start writing whatever came to my mind. At the start, I felt it was kinda trash. But as I wrote further, it c

A Million Dreams ✨

Hello! Today's blog is a bit different. It's not exactly a blog. It's a poem, that I wrote. The title for the poem, as you can already see, is 'A Million Dreams'. Hope you like it! It’s too dark now,  I wonder why I can’t sleep. I’m diving into my thoughts and,  Reaching into deep. Dreams or nightmares, what are they? They call me out. I keep on wondering,  And give them a benefit of doubt. At last, I come to know, They’re just my dreams. The ones I had prioritized before, But now I conceal. Where did I go wrong, I was supposed to be different. But I somehow became the same, Just like the others, indifferent. It was not the same back then,  A different mindset used to drive me. I wanted to do something big, Success will be for sure, I used to guarantee. A million dreams,  Didn’t let me sleep. The bright light of my future,  Used to beam against my cheek.  This seems like a wake-up call,  To go and chase my passion. I won’t give up this time,  I and my dreams will ha

Uke and Me :)

I've always been extremely eager to learn new things, try them out and you know...just explore. People see something, and gradually develop an interest in it. Well, I'm different in that case because the way I develop an interest is the complete opposite. I see something and tada, hello new interest! Then, you can say, it becomes kind of an obsession for meπŸ˜‚. Day and night, one thing revolves around my mind. My family literally gets irritated because I keep mentioning that obsession again and again. And to be honest, I do become a bit irritating at that time. Can't help it mate!πŸ˜‚ And, that obsession and desire, if fulfilled, never really goes away.  So, I'm a person who likes to explore YouTube. One minute I'm watching a video about a guy teaching me the French Revolution, and you look at me the next minute, and I will be found watching a guy build a raft in the middle of nowhere. So, I randomly came across a video 3 months ago. It was an America's Got Talent

Oh My Dear School :(

Why, oh why, COVID-19, did you have to come into everyone's life and make it terrible! You're the worst!! I hate Coronavirus (everyone does!) for a number of reasons. Be it not being able to go to public places, or not being able to meet relatives who live far away. But, the thing I hate most about this disgusting virus, is that I can't go to school! I'm a 9th grader, and this whole session I haven't met my friends or my teachers. Quoting Chandler Bing from F.R.I.E.N.D.S, "Could I be any more sad?πŸ˜•" So, here are the top 4 reasons why I am literally missing to go to school these days: Lunch Box Fights- Oh my god how can anyone forget that exact moment when you open your lunch box and just by the sound of the lid clicking, your friends come rushing to you? If I ever took something really delicious like Pav Bhaji , Maggi, or Pizza to school, I had to go and sneak in a corner because my friends have quite a strong sense of smell! At once they would figure ou
